How to export X followers to CSV

To export X followers to CSV with Revealed, scan an account's visible follower list in Chrome, review the profiles collected, then use raw CSV export. The Free plan includes scans, the profile explorer and raw CSV export. Your file represents the profiles collected in that scan, so record its date and coverage before treating it as a complete audience snapshot.

The answer in full

A follower CSV is useful when you need to inspect an X audience in a spreadsheet or keep a dated research snapshot. Revealed collects the follower list you can access while signed in to X and stores the scan locally in your browser. Start with one account, review the collected profiles in the overview and profile explorer, then use raw CSV export. Scanning, profile exploration and raw CSV export are included in the Free plan. Once you open the file in a spreadsheet, keep an untouched copy and make a separate working sheet for sorting or notes. Record the account handle, scan date and number of profiles collected. Those details matter when comparing exports: a partial scan and a larger later scan can look like audience growth even when they simply cover different parts of the list. The export describes collected follower profiles; it does not provide post engagement, email addresses or evidence of purchase intent.

Step by step

  1. 01

Scan the account you want to research

Open the account on X while signed in and start a Revealed follower scan. Use only follower lists your account can already access. Let the scan collect the coverage needed for your research.

  2. 02

    Check the collected profiles

Review the overview and profile explorer before exporting. Note whether the scan is complete or partial, and record how many profiles were collected.

  3. 03

    Use raw CSV export

Export the scan using Revealed's raw CSV export. Save the file with the account handle and scan date in its name so you can identify it later.

  4. 04

Open a working copy in a spreadsheet

Keep the original file untouched. Open a copy in your spreadsheet tool, check the column headers and inspect a few rows before sorting or filtering.

  5. 05

    Keep later snapshots comparable

Use the same account and comparable scan coverage for later exports. Write down collection dates and limitations alongside any conclusions.

A useful export record

For each file, record the account handle, collection date, collected profile count, scan status and research question. For example, your question might be whether the collected audience includes people describing themselves as designers. This record keeps a spreadsheet tied to the evidence it actually contains.

If you compare two files, distinguish changes in collected coverage from changes in the audience. A larger export alone does not prove follower growth. People can also update their bios between snapshots.

What to do after exporting

Use the file for manual profile review, internal research notes or spreadsheet summaries based on the columns actually present. Do not assume the export contains an analytical field just because another Revealed view displays a summary.

If your question is about recurring roles or interests rather than individual rows, Revealed's Pro Bio Signals view can help interpret profile language before you write your report.

What to keep in mind

  • Exports cover collected profiles, which may be a subset of an account's audience.
  • Profile information is self-reported and can change after collection.
  • A follower export does not measure engagement, conversions or permission to contact people.
FAQ

Common questions

01Is X follower CSV export free in Revealed?

Yes. The Free plan includes unlimited local scans, the overview and profile explorer, search and raw CSV export.

02Can I export another account's followers?

You can scan follower lists you can already access on X while signed in. Revealed does not bypass access restrictions.

03Does a CSV contain every follower?

It contains the profiles collected in the scan. Check collection coverage and whether the scan is complete before calling it a full audience export.

04Does Revealed upload the followers I scan?

No. Scans run in your own browser and the audience data (profiles, bios, analytics and exports) stays in Chrome extension storage on your device. Revealed’s servers only handle your account, plan and billing.
