SparkToro alternatives for researching a specific X audience
Revealed is a SparkToro alternative for researching the followers of a specific X account rather than an audience's wider online habits. Free scans, search and CSV export help you inspect the people; Pro adds bio signals, geography and overlap. Choose it when your question starts with an X handle.
3 SparkToro alternatives to consider
Written by the team behind Revealed. We put Revealed first for local X follower research; the order reflects that use case, not an independent ranking or a hands-on test of every tool. Competitor descriptions use the official sources linked below.
Revealed
X follower research that stays on your device
Free local scans, profile search and raw CSV export. Pro adds bio signals, geography and two-audience comparison.
When deciding: X only. Requires Chrome and a signed-in X session; no publishing, post analytics or fake-follower verdicts.
Audiense
Broader audience strategy
Audience research across multiple data sources.
When deciding: Consider it for a brief that extends beyond X followers.
Fedica
Audience research with publishing
Cross-platform scheduling and analytics.
When deciding: For combined publishing and research.
The answer in full
Revealed and SparkToro answer different kinds of audience questions. Revealed begins with an X account and the followers you collect in your browser. You can inspect bios and linked websites, search for relevant people and export the scan. On Pro, you can summarise bio language, map locations and compare the audience with another account. This makes it a focused alternative when you already know the community you want to study on X. It does not tell you which podcasts an audience listens to, what it searches for or which websites it visits. A website linked in someone's profile is evidence of a link, not browsing behaviour.

At a glance
| What matters | Revealed | SparkToro |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | Followers of a chosen X handle | A broader audience-research query |
| Website evidence | Links people put in their X profiles (Pro) | Audience affinities and website visitation |
| Useful question | Who is in this X community? | Where does this audience spend time online? |
What SparkToro offers today
SparkToro researches audience affinities, media consumption, search keywords and online habits. Its V2 announcement describes moving away from Twitter support.
Choose SparkToro when you need channel planning, sources of influence or search behaviour across the wider web.
Separate profile links from sources of influence
Suppose you want to understand founders who follow a particular product on X. Revealed can collect those followers and help you inspect the roles, language and websites in their profiles. Pro's domain ecosystem groups the links people provide, which can reveal what they build, sell or publish.
Use that evidence to explore the community, then compare it with your own audience to identify gaps. Do not turn a profile-link count into a claim about website visits or media consumption. If your next decision is where to sponsor a podcast or which publication your buyers read, you need research about those behaviours as well.
Try the workflow with one real audience
Start with an X handle that represents the audience you want to investigate. Run a fresh Revealed scan, search for relevant bios and export profiles for free. Use Pro for bio language, linked-domain analysis and overlap. SparkToro reports are not imported, and the results measure different things.
What is free in Revealed?
Free (0) includes unlimited local scans, the overview, profile explorer, search and raw CSV export. Pro adds bio signals, geography, two-audience comparison, influencers, communities, linked-domain analysis and AI assistant access. Check Revealed pricing for the current Pro offer before upgrading. You do not need an account to start with Free.
What to keep in mind
- Scans depend on the followers available to your signed-in X account and X's rate controls. Unlimited scans is not a promise of immediate or complete collection.
- Bio roles and locations are self-reported and can be missing or ambiguous. Results describe the profiles collected, not inferred buying intent or guaranteed reach.
- Revealed does not measure post engagement, certify followers as real or fake, or import historical reports from another tool.
- Competitor descriptions were reviewed on 2026-10-09 using official pages, not a benchmark test. Check current plans, account coverage and data freshness with the vendor.
Common questions
01Can Revealed show what podcasts or websites my followers consume?
No. Revealed can analyse websites linked in collected X profiles on Pro. A profile link does not establish that the person reads that site or listens to a podcast. Revealed does not collect browsing or media-consumption history.
02Is there a free SparkToro alternative for X follower research?
Revealed's Free plan includes unlimited local scans, the overview, profile explorer, search and raw CSV export without an account. Bio signals, geography, audience comparison and the other deeper analytical views require Pro. Free follower research is not a replacement for every feature of another product.
03Does Revealed upload the followers I scan?
No. Scans run in your own browser and the audience data (profiles, bios, analytics and exports) stays in Chrome extension storage on your device. Revealed’s servers only handle your account, plan and billing.
04Can scanning with Revealed get my X account suspended?
It's possible. Revealed reads follower lists through your own signed-in X account, and X restricts automated access to its service. X can challenge, restrict or suspend accounts it believes are automated, including linked accounts. Revealed only reads data and paces scans to reduce the risk, but it can't control X's decisions. Keep scans modest, stop if X shows you a challenge, and avoid scanning from a business or client account.
